Well it seems that Air Canada has done it again. Now, a 15 year-old boy was bumped from his connecting flight in Toronto after visiting family in Winnipeg while en route to Halifax. While other passengers who were bumped were given $10 food vouchers and provided with a hotel room, he was given the food voucher, but no hotel room because he was too young to be given a hotel room alone.
Ummm….so really?? It’s okay to then have him sleep on the airport floor?
This is getting ridiculous! Air Canada denies knowing that he was a minor and cited mechanical difficulties resulted in the need for passengers to be bumped as a smaller plane was used to replace the one needing repairs. Enough with the excuses – someone knew that this passenger was underage when he wasn’t provided a hotel room, so something should have been done so that this wasn’t a news story at all.
